Software Engineer I

 

We’re looking for an entry-level software engineer (0-2 years of experience) to help us build model-based solutions. Our engineers frequently work with sophisticated systems engineering methods, simulation and analysis tools, domain-specific modeling languages, model transformations, and code generation.

On a typical day, you’ll help us:

  • Understand the needs of our clients though specific challenges and use cases

  • Research, evaluate, and experiment with relevant technologies

  • Design, implement, and test solutions

  • Craft documentation, support, and training for our clients

We primarily use these development languages & technologies (experience with these is a plus):

  • Python

  • JavaScript and Node.js

  • C# / .NET

  • Git for SCM

  • Jenkins for CI

Bonus Points:

  • UML, SysML, RDF, or other experience with Domain-Specific Modeling Languages

  • Experience with engineering design and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Modelica, and FEA/CFD

  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling tools like CATIA, NX, and Creo

For collaboration and office tasks, we use:

  • Slack

  • Google Apps (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, etc.)

  • Google Meet and WebEx for video conferencing

The Location

  • We’re based in Nashville, Tennessee and our office is just off Music Row. We’re close to Vanderbilt University, Edgehill Village, Hillsboro Village, and the Demonbreun strip.

  • We support flexible work hours that help our employees avoid traffic or pick up their kids on time.

  • We also support remote work for employees who don’t wish to move to Nashville or would prefer to work from home.
